Looking back on the masterclass

From Tuesday March 1st through Thursday March 3rd 2011 a Masterclass in Interior Architecture took place, organized by AKV|St.Joost, Avans Hogeschool. It's theme was: HEDONISTIC INTERIORS: space is fun

For Whom?
This masterclass was for prospective students of the Master’s programme in Interior Architecture at AKV|St.Joost, as well as for alumni and tutors involved in Master's and Bachelor's programmes in the Netherlands and Belgium. It was also pre-eminently suited to (young) professionals who, after a thorough training as an interior architect, wish to add to their knowledge, skills and insight into design with the help of the best designers in the field of interior architecture.
The programme for the masterclass was interdisciplinary and internationally oriented. The speakers are renowned national and international designers.

Theme
Nowadays public interiors increasingly evoke admiration and amusement. Whether it be museums, airports, shopping centres or hospitals, this has been a clear trend in recent years. A good interior always creates a dialogue or a confrontation between the intended effect and artistic principles on the one hand and the feasibility and/or sustainability requirements and safety on the other. This dialogue is the starting point of the interdisciplinary masterclass workshop HEDONISTIC INTERIORS.

It is not possible to subscribe for this Masterclass anymore. But the good news is you can apply for the Master of Interior Architecture that starts in September 2011!  More information...
